In the United States, Obamacare, with its tax-funded subsidies, has gotten too expensive for everyone. The annual deductibles are too high. Even without including Obamacare, other health insurance plans do not provide adequate or basic dental and wellness care coverage. Many aging Baby Boomers simply cannot afford to keep paying exorbitant health insurance premiums. It would be great to have catastrophic health insurance, but how often do we use it?
The standard of health care in the United States is deteriorating. Waiting for the doctor when you arrived on time for a scheduled appointment and watching the doctor spend most of the time at the computer before finally evaluating you, are symptoms of a process gone bad. The cost of pharmaceuticals is also part of the problem.

There are new and alternative treatment and care options to consider before obtaining traditional methods in the United States. There are various drugs or other medication that is used to treat or prevent disease. In a crisis, many of them are extremely useful. Unfortunately, many of the newest ones are still waiting for FDA approval while the pharmaceutical companies are selling them to treat, care, or fight disease in other countries where they are approved.
Herbs, supplements, and minerals have been used for centuries. Acknowledging their benefits to replace drugs or medication is slowly gaining recognition under a doctor’s supervision.
Holistic, functional, and anti-aging approaches should be considered for well-being. For example, eating healthy and nutritious food is a natural replacement for vitamins!
Are you getting enough exercise? Get off that lazy-boy couch and take a walk around the block. Invite the wife, grab granny, drag the kids, and coax the neighbors to take a city hike with you. Greet the community assembled in the next town waiting with open arms for you. Ok, just kidding?
Well, if you enter a 3k race without anyone pressuring you and doing your best, you will have a group of people motivating you, supporting you, and congratulating you on your best efforts.

There is so much you can do. It does not matter what condition you are in. Do yourself a favor. Appoint two or three guardians to contact in the event of an emergency. Get a legal document signed so that person can make authoritative decisions on your behalf in the emergency room. The next-door neighbors are your best option because they can provide immediate assistance! Ask for help. Don’t delay!
Visit a national park and take a deep breath of fresh air. Pick just new activity to get physical! If you practice a new habit for a full month, it slowly becomes a behavior done without thought.
Instead of watching your favorite sport on television, buy a couple of tickets to watch a live event. It’s a totally different experience. But the value is enjoying the camaraderie of all and getting out of the house!
In a civilized world, we live in a stressful environment. Regardless of age, there come precious moments in our lives when we need to take a break.
